Magalarva’s Flagship Facility on Opini.id

In the early days of Magalarva, many questioned why anyone would leave their previous job to work on something seemingly unconventional.

Looking at the statistics, it becomes clear that 60-70% of waste in Indonesia is organic, so why are more people focused on plastic waste when the numbers show that organic waste deserves more attention? This curiosity led us to wonder whether organic waste truly had no economic benefits.

Rendria, the CEO and co-founder of Magalarva, had a vision of creating a business that provided a solution to environmental problems.

In Indonesia, 60-70% of the waste generated is organic. In Jakarta alone, approximately 7,000 tons of mixed waste are produced daily. If 60% of this waste is organic, that's around 4,200 tons per day piling up, forming mountains of waste. How long can we afford to let this continue?

Magalarva has emerged as a sustainable protein producer that uses organic waste as a raw material for animal feed.

Magalarva's facility currently processes about 6 tons of waste per day, and it's ready to receive more the next day.

Magalarva is more than just a solution to the waste problem; it is also an answer to the challenge of sustainable protein sources. With the growing global population and increased demand for protein, sustainable alternatives are crucial, and Magalarva is positioning itself to be part of the solution to two major issues: waste management and the need for sustainable protein sources.
